Greenhill Pre-School was founded in 1992 and is situated within the grounds of Greenhill Primary School, Mile Lane, Bury in a self contained building.
We are open to children from 2 and a half years to school entry and provide up to 40 children (20 per session) half day high quality care and nursery education.
Our half day sessions are term-time, Monday to Friday, from 8:45am to 11:45am and Monday to Friday 12:20pm to 3:20pm.
We have an extensive outdoor area which is equipped for exciting and stimulating play, providing lots of fun. We have a wide range of outdoor toys for use in outdoor activities and also have the use of the school’s playing field and nature area.
We are a member of the Pre-school Learning Alliance and the principles of Early Years Foundation stage curriculum is followed in a child-centred environment with highly qualified and experienced staff.
We have excellent partnership and transfer arrangements with Greenhill Primary School making the move from Pre-School to Reception easy and enjoyable.
We are a voluntary non-profit making registered charity which is run by an elected Parent Committee. The Committee hold regular meetings and arrange a variety fund raising and social events throughout the school year.
Our admissions policy and waiting list is managed independently from both the Local Education Authority and Greenhill Primary school, more details for which can be found on the Admissions page.
